Stain

Would you like to add some color to your pet? We offer five stain colors, and you can choose more than one! If you would like to specify the order of the colors, leave a note at checkout. All stained pieces come with a clear finish (we use a satin finish by default, but you can request a gloss finish in the order notes). Each species of wood reacts a little differently with the stain, so colors are approximate. If you’re trying to match a specific decor, we use Minwax stains, and you can give us a name and number for a specific stain and we’ll get it.

Clear Finish

Would you like to seal your pet? If you are not planning on finishing your pet yourself, we recommend adding this to protect the wood. Our lumber is often very old and can be very dry. If you chose a stain option about, your pet will automatically receive a lacquer finish.

Ssssss…the hardest puzzle we make.  All 4 sides look the same, but each piece only goes where it is as assembled when purchased!

As always, the pictures here are just examples – each of our puzzles is unique. Choose the options above for species and finish, but if you’re looking for a particular character in the wood (tight grain, knots, nail holes, etc.) you’ll need to contact us directly (info@puzzledpets.net).
